Each year our Order of the Arrow Lodge hosts two gathering events. The first is our Native American Arts and Ceremonies Seminar (NAACS) and the other is the Rendezvous of the Order. The latter being the largest event of the lodge and during which we have our annual Lodge banquet.
This weekend we attended the NAACS event. It is held at Camp Rilea, a National Guard Camp on the Oregon Coast. It is a great setting to host the Seminar with plenty of classrooms, lodging, and big kitchens. For the adults in the Order of the Arrow it is a typical weekend of service, story telling, and teaching. NAACS is the perfect opportunity for arrowmen to build regelia, practice ceremonies, and rekindle friendships from around the lodge. We always have a great time. The Scouts that attend always leave NAACS fired up and wanting Rendezvous to hurry and get here.
During the weekend I took the opportunity to shoot some video, hang out with friends, and even snuck in a nap.
Here is the video I shot of the 2016 NAACS. Enjoy.
Share your Lodge events with us, it is always fun to see how the Order of the Arrow is in other lodges around the BSA.
Have a Great Scouting Day!
