I was recently asked what I use when backpacking, or camping in general, for my cook kit. So here it is. It’s real simple and it works extremely well. I am very happy with this set up having used many different cook kits, pots, pans, stoves etc. This set up is by far my favorite and most used. And yes, this cook kit set up is used all year long, even in the snow.

Have a Great Scouting Day!

thanks for sharing. Whats the largest pot that works on the stove so multiple scouts can use it for say freezer bag cooking. If you use a larger than 5 cup stove how long does it take to boil
I have used my MSR pot with this stove. The MSR pot works well for 3 people. Water boil times vary, but typically 5 to 7 minute with the bigger pot. Assuming you use a wind screen etc. I don’t think that the stove is designed for group cooking, but for backpacking it works well. In our Troop the Scouts typically cook in 2 and 3 Scout buddy teams, so the smaller backpacking stoves work well.
